Aldeburgh Poetry Festival
Begun in 1989 by a group of local people who wanted to hear
published poets introducing and reading their work; Aldeburgh
is one of Britain's leading annual international poetry
festivals.

The
Bath Literature Festival
Initiated in 1995, the annual nine day Bath Literature Festival
is held at various venues accross the city usually in late-Feburary
or early March and attracts a wealth of big names and hosts
some great poetry events. In 2005 Sophie Hannah is the Festival's
Poet in Residence.

The
Cheltenham Festival of Literature
Established in 1949, Cheltenham was the world's first literary
festival and is still one of the best.

Durham
Liteature Festival
Fifteen years young, Durham's Literature Festival normally
boasts an impressive array of poetry readings.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival
Started in 1983 as a biennial event, the book festival is
now a key element in the August Festival season, celebrated
annually in Scotland's capital city.
