T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry

The T.S.Eliot Prize for Poetry was inaugurated in 1993 to celebrate the Poetry Book Society's 40th birthday and honour its founding poet. The prize is awarded to the best collection of new poetry published in the UK and Ireland in each year. The £10,000 prize money is kindly donated by Eliot's widow, Mrs Valerie Eliot.

The winner of the T S Eliot Prize 2006 is Seamus Heaney for District and Circle. Click here to find out more about the T S Eliot Prize. A list of previous winners is below - click on the book title for more information.
