 | The
T.S.Eliot Prize for Poetry was inaugurated in 1993 to celebrate the Poetry Book
Society's 40th birthday and honour its founding poet. The prize is awarded to
the best collection of new poetry published in the UK and Ireland in each year.
The £10,000 prize money is kindly donated by Eliot's widow, Mrs Valerie Eliot.
